      2. Contest:    Tuesday, March 29, 2011 – 5:00 p.m.   @  Fair Hall, NTSF Fairgrounds, Denton, TX

Awards presented following contest.

      3.  Entries are subjected to General Rules.

      4. Entries will be divided into these age divisions:

                 1.  Juniors – 3rd grade thru 11 yrs old

                 2. Intermediate – 12 to 14 yrs old

                 3. Seniors – 15 to 19 yrs old

                 4. Team Division – made up of 2-4 individuals

*** Participants may compete individually and as part of a team, but the subject matter of the presentations must be different.

*** Age as of August 31, 2010

      5. Contestants will be judged on the following as set forth by the 4-H public Speaking Guidelines at

      6.  All speeches will have a 3-7 minute time limit.

 

      7.  Note cards can be used, but no props/posters, etc., in individual competitions.

      8.  Awards:

                    1st & 2nd in each division: plaques

                    3rd thru 6th in each division: ribbons

 

      Scholarships:               

   
$75.00 to each 1st place
$25.00 to each 2nd place
