RODEO QUEEN/PRINCESS CONTEST RULES

The Queen and Princess candidates are encouraged to enter a project in the Youth Fair. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as listed in the general rules. Only one Queen and one Princess candidate will be allowed to represent a club or chapter. Previous Queen and Princess winners may not run again in same age group.
Queen and Princess candidates will be introduced first at the Rodeo, Saturday, March 27, 2010, which starts at 7:00 pm. However, all candidates should check in behind Rodeo arena at 6:30 pm to line up. Queen and Princess candidates do not have to ride a horse during introductions. The Queen and Princess will be announced and receive their banners. Buckles will be awarded at the end of the Rodeo when the rodeo contestants receive their awards.
1. The Queen contest is for the age 14 and up as of August 31, 2009 2. The Princess contest is for the age 13 and under as of August 31, 2009 3. Judging based on three categories: 1/3 – Personality Contest, 1/3 – Beauty Contest & 1/3 – Ticket Sales 4. Each category will be judged on a 13-point scale. Example for one category:
Cand. #1 Score – 3 Points: 10.5 Cand. #2 Score – 1 Points: 13 Cand. #3 Score – 3 Points: 10.5 Cand. #4 Score – 2 Points: 12 Cand. #5 Score – 4 Points: 9
Awards: Queen & Princess: $150 Montana Silversmiths trophy belt buckle & $100 Scholarship 1st Runner-up Q & P: $100 Montana Silversmiths trophy belt buckle 2nd Runner-up Q & P: $75 Montana Silversmiths trophy belt buckle Category Winner Q&P: $100 Montana Silversmith trophy belt buckle
