RODEO IS RAIN OR SHINE!

 

Rodeo is open to students living in Denton County, attending a Denton County school or a member of a Denton County 4-H, FFA of FCCLA chapter and in school below the college level.

 

Entry blanks may be picked up at Weldon's Saddle Shop, 345 East Hickory St., Denton beginning

Monday, March 1, 2010 @ 8:30 am

 

Entries are limited to the first 12 that turn in a completed entry blank accompanied by the entry fee.  Each entry blank must be notarized and signed by a 4-H or FFA leader or school official according to the DCLA NO PAA,  NO SHOW rules.  Cash can be accepted only if brought into Weldon's otherwise money orders or cashier checks only.  Entry fee is $25 per event.

 

Entries close Monday, March 22, 2010 or when limit of 12 per event is reached.

 

Trophy belt buckles will be awared thru 3 places in each event.  All Around Cowboy & Cowgirl will each receive a trophy belt buckle,  $100 scholarship and a pair of Ariat boots.  To qualify for All Around, boys must enter 3 events and girls must enter 2.

All awards will be presented after the Rodeo in the Show Arena.  Thank you notes will be provided and must be written at that time to recieve your award.

 

Trophy belt buckles for the Rodeo are donated by Wrangler.  All Around boots are donated by Ariat.

* Can rope twice but must switch ends or partners

* $25 Entry fee & entry blank needed for each end

 

Intermediate Division Ages 13 & Under as of 9/1/09
Breakaway Roping Girls & Boys
Barrel Race Girls
Steer Riding Boys

 

Junior Division Ages 7-9 as of 9/1/09
Calf Riding Girls & Boys
PeeWee Division Ages 4-6 as of 9/1/09
Mutton Busting* Girls & Boys

* Tony Lama will provide Helmets & Vests

* No other equipment furnished.  Ropes are permitted

 

CONTESTANTS MAY ENTER UP INTO THE NEXT AGE GROUP,  BUT CANNOT GO DOWN.
